The course is designed to give you and your dog the best start with all the foundations needed for basic obedience, good social manners and for anyone wanting to progress to higher training levels including other dog sports.
With step by step video tutorials by qualified instructors to help you every step of the way and personal support via private Facebook group you can be sure you and your dog will get the very best start in your relationship.
At The Academy, we pride ourselves on creating fun, friendly and motivational training for dogs and owners. We want you to enjoy this course and learn as much as you can to build a happy and trusting relationship with your dog.
To do this we work using reward based, up to date and force-free, motivational methods. We do not advocate any force, pain, intimidation or coercion in any of our training methods. These out dated methods have been proven to be counter-productive and detrimental to the health and welfare of the dog. Creating a good positive bond with our dogs requires mutual trust and respect which we will be building on in this course.
Stay when asked
Teaching your dog to stay when asked has many benefits to us but we need to teach them it is a good thing to stay in place and not seen as anything bad
